The trust placed in us by our customers has been won by serving them for more than 90 years.

As a private limited company (SARL) founded by Mr Maurice Lecoy in Paris in November 1926, Lecoy was a small cable manufacturer working in partnership with a wire drawing company, to produce small-diameter steel cables.

Over the years, the assembly of small cables, brakes, gear controls, gas controls and sub-assemblies for cycles and mopeds constituted our main business.

After the Second World War, wire drawing gradually disappeared, to be replaced by the assembly of brake cable assemblies, clutches, accelerators, and counter transmission systems for motor vehicles and various other machines.

In 1965 a new plant was built in Le Neubourg (27110) as that in the Parisian region became saturated.

In 1968, our specialized skills in assembling sets of remote controls by cables and metallic sheaths were increasingly recognized in a wide range of industrial sectors, such as agriculture, elevators, mechanical garden tools, public works and forklift trucks, to name a few.

In 1989 LECOY became a public limited liability company (SA) and the property of an International Group FICOSA INTERNATIONAL SA whose head office is based in Barcelona, the main activity of this group being the assembly of cables for clutches, brakes, controls of gearboxes, the manufacture of windshield washer pumps, tanks, pipes, and rear-view mirrors as original equipment for cars and manufacturers in the automobile industry. From that date onwards LECOY became the AFTERMARKET division of the FICOSA group.

In 2009, due to the need for space and streamlining in its development, the company's head office and all of its business were transferred to the site in Le Neubourg (27110).

In 2015 the company's name remained MAURICE LECOY SA but its business name became LECOY.

Today, LECOY is more than ever a key stakeholder in the automotive aftermarket, as well as in industry. Growth in exports has not been left out, with our presence on the European, African and South American markets ...

LECOY has a workshop specifically devoted to manufacturing customized cables per model, either based on the drawings our customers provide, or on the cable itself.
